Stephen Raskauskas
Stephen is currently working with the Building Stage as the production dramaturg for the "Ring Cycle" project. He is a researcher at the Center for Italian Opera Studies at the University of Chicago, contributing to the Works of Gioachino Rossini (Bärenreiter-Verlag). In Chicago, Stephen has collaborated as an artist and educator with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Opera Theater, Goodman Theater, Court Theater, Chicago Opera Vanguard, Chicago Cultural Center Summer Opera, and DePaul Opera Theatre. Stephen has received numerous grants and fellowships for opera and musical theater production and research, and has published articles and libretti translations, including Handel's 'Julius Caesar' (Lyric Opera of Chicago, 2007) and Bizet's 'Pearl Fishers' (Lyric Opera of Chicago, 2008).
